Technological and Applied Studies
Technological and Applied Studies (TAS) is aimed to help students develop a comprehensive set of skills and knowledge by engaging them in both theoretical learning and practical, hands-on experiences.
James Ruse Agricultural High School is one of four agricultural high schools in NSW where the TAS subject, Agriculture is compulsory for students from Years 7 to 10, ensuring they gain essential knowledge and skills related to the agricultural industry during this period.
Through the study of technology courses at James Ruse Agricultural High School, students engage in a diverse range of practical experiences and develop knowledge and understanding of contemporary and advancing technologies. They formulate solutions to identified problems and situations, and explore the impact of technologies on the individual, society and the environment.
