JRAHS Cooking Club (James Ruse Agricultural High School Cooking Club) was established for all enthusiastic young chefs and home cooks of James Ruse, as a place to learn, discover and share ideas about our mutual love of food and cooking. Our leaders aim to foster the extra-curricular interests of our fellow students, engaging them throughout the process of preparing, cooking, decorating and tasting food.
We believe that cooking is a joyful experience and a fundamental life-skill, our club provides the opportunity for students to learn and innovate with a wide variety of easy-to-learn recipes, hands-on experience and lots of fun.
Together we will learn a range of recipes, from cakes to stir-fry, from rice-rolls to churros, Cooking Club embraces all styles of cooking and cultural cuisine. We encourage members to share tips and favourite recipes for all to learn and enjoy; best of all, you will get to eat anything and everything you make, or take them home to share the fruits of your hard work with friends and family!
JOIN US! Whether you love food, cooking, or just want to make friends with like-minded people, you are welcome to join us every step of the way. Just wear your uniform, feel free to bring an apron if you like. Just bring $3 to cover ingredient costs, Your passion and enthusiasm
