Interact is a student run community at Ruse that focuses on volunteering within the community in various fundraising events and projects to help make a difference! In a typical year, we’ll work with the Salvation Army, Ryde Rotary and Westmead Children’s Hospital in events such as Red Shield Appeal, Red Rose Day and Christmas Gift Wrapping.
Our members participate in a weekend of door knocking to raise funds for the Salvation Army’s vast network of social and community services such as crisis accommodation for disadvantaged Australians. In the lead up to Christmas, we spend time on the weekends and after school wrapping presents with Ryde Rotary in a joint effort to raise money for a charity of our choice.
So, if you’re passionate to learn about social justice issues and help make a difference in our community, come join our club!
