Come along and learn how to play the:
▪ Bagpipes
▪ Drums (snare or bass)
You don’t need any prior musical knowledge. We welcome newcomers of any level!
What do we do?
Members from the Castle Hill RSL Pipe Band come to our school to teach students how to play the pipes or drums. Music and instruments are provided. The Pipe Band usually marches and plays in parades with the school’s Cadet Unit. We also play outside the school in events such as the Sydney ANZAC Day March and Granny Smith Festival.
Why should you join?
Joining the Pipe Band is a great way to learn a new and very unique skill. We’re the only pipe band in government high schools within NSW. And it’s a great way to meet new people!
