James Ruse Agricultural High School Parents & Citizens Association

The James Ruse Agricultural High School Parents and Citizens Association (JRAHS P&C) plays an integral role in the James Ruse Agricultural High School community. We aim to bring parents, staff, students and citizens together to benefit the interests of the students and the school.

Through the Annual Contribution and various activities such as Food Days and the Annual Raffle, P&C raises valuable funds that are donated to the school to improve its facilities, purchase new equipment and resources, and support identified projects.

P&C meetings are held on two Tuesday evenings during each school term in the Lecture Theatre. At the first meeting of each term, guest speakers are usually invited to present a seminar to the Community. All parents and carers are welcomed to attend these meetings.

We encourage you to contact us on jamesrusepandc@gmail.com should there be any questions, ideas or issues you wish to raise or would like to contribute/volunteer at any of our COJR P&C events.

Alternatively you can get in touch with one of the Committee members listed below.

Latest News

The week of June 3 marks the beginning of the 2019 P&C Annual Raffle period. The Main Raffle Draw will be held on Friday July 5 at 10:45am at school. All sold raffle tickets must be returned by Wednesday July 3 to be eligible to go into the Draw.

P&C thank the wonderful 29 donors providing 46 prizes totalling $5 629 for people to win. There is an extensive range in prizes from furniture to beauty packs to books to food to educational experiences to gift cards all detailed in the letter accompanying the booklet of 10 raffle tickets.

2018's raffle raised $26 600 - our highest ever amount - and all funds raised went directly towards the refurbishment of 4 Science Laboratories and Prep Room.

In 2019, P&C aim to use the money collected to fund the estimated $180 000 required for the internal refurbishment of the 40-year old J.C. Hoskin Auditorium School Hall. The upgrade of the hall will modernise it into a venue befitting events held at James Ruse including assemblies, ceremonies, school functions as well as an examination centre.

We take this opportunity to thank all our donors who have so generously donated prizes to the raffle.
