A visit from Trundle Central School (a school from drought affected region of NSW)
08 Jun 2020
We had a very special guest Mr. Southon, the Principal of Trundle Central travel 400km to visit our school in February. His talk to our school about the effects of drought on his community was an insightful and eye-opening experience for our fellow peers.
At the end of the assembly, we gifted him with $2010 in cash and $2030 in gift cards which were raised by the Prefect body from Chrusemas and Valentine’s Day merchandise. Mr. Southon mentioned that the last shop in town closed down, so now they have to travel about 100km just to get to the nearest store and these gift cards would be used to buy essential household items.
