Australian Mathematical Olympiad (AMO)
The Australian Mathematical Olympiad (AMO) is a two-day Olympiad-level contest comprising four questions each day and conducted under school supervision. Around 200 students are invited to participate in this event from Australia and New Zealand. The contest was held over two days in February and was used to select students to attend the Australian Mathematical Olympiad Committee’s Selection School. 15 James Ruse students were invited to sit the AMO. We received some outstanding results.

Asian Pacific Mathematics Olympiad (APMO)
In addition, each year a small group of students are selected to represent Australia in the Asian Pacific Mathematics Olympiad (APMO). We would like congratulate Eva Ge (Year 12), Haibing Wang (Year 12) and Jerry Li (Year 10) on their selection to participate at the Australian Mathematical Olympiad Committee Selection School International Competition.
